Our Space
The Ateneo Theater is located on the third and fourth floors of the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia building, at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 18 in Valencia. The hall has an area of 412 meters distributed in three heights.
A modern auditorium with capacity for 467 spectators, which was completely renovated in 2020. The necessary elements, finishes and coverings were added to obtain the best acoustic and functional results.
The program covers the most diverse genres and artistic modalities such as theatre, dance, classical music, zarzuela, opera, flamenco… Similarly, the Ateneo Theater hosts many and very diverse.
The space is equipped with the most modern technology, which allows great flexibility to adapt to any scenic proposal. Currently, the Ateneo Theater is one of the most representative centers in Valencia for the performing arts.
The ground floor has 196 seats, upholstered in fireproof material, with a folding writing lectern, of which 78 are removable, to allow access for people with disabilities.
The upper floor has 249 seats, as well as a third floor with 6 boxes, with 30 seats.
It has a simultaneous translation booth, a break for translators, sound and video control. It is equipped with a public address system, two retractable screens, a projector cannon, etc.
It has a 70-meter stage, with two rear access doors to changing rooms and a rest area.
The Ateneo Theater has not only specialized in offering an enormous variety of styles and contents, but it does so with an enormous technical and artistic quality in all the events that take place in it.
